A Message from the East
Having been on this course for quite some time
learning, watching, and listening, I am of course humbled and nervous to take on
such a responsibility, but I am ready to serve.
 I
am blessed to have been elected at this time because of all the efforts over the
last handful of years from so many of you and especially some Past Masters who
jumped in to right a listing ship. Many thanks to all -- you know
who you are. Our core of officers is what every Master could wish for. The pool
of young Masons in the wings is equally deep. The energy that can be felt in our
Lodge warms the heart of anyone who enters.
Serving as Sr Warden, with
Bruces guidance, has been truly wonderful. Again I am lucky to have been
following such a good example and will do my best to leave the Lodge better than
I was charged with. Thank you Bruce.
Prayer before dinner: I would like
to invite everyone to the dining room at 6pm for the Prayer prior to proceeding
thru the chow line. I believe this will keep distraction to a minimum for the
purpose of everyone being engaged in our Blessings.
As it has been
stated by others, we have a full calendar for the coming months for degree work.
To make sure that the candidates receive proper education. I am asking for
Mentors to step forward from the brethren. We need the more experienced brothers
to not only take a candidate but also help by taking one of our newer brothers
by the hand and show them how and why Millersville #126 got its dynamic
reputation. Step up and be counted. We already have a full schedule.
I
also am looking to reintroduce our Euchre night. But as I want to involve more
people I will be letting our recruitment team, Chris & Andy, open the night
to other types of games. Poker, Backgammon maybe even MouseTrap.! Come and join
in the Fun.
